Christmas Holidays PreKinder Literacy Pack
Use this activity to encourage learners to name capital and lowercase letters. The alphabet cards can also be used for alphabet sequencing.
Read and write the room tasks are a great way to encourage emergent writers to have a go at forming letters independently.
With these handwriting sheets I have my learners color the pictures and the large word first. We the focus on the beginning letter sound. Finally, they trace the letters then practice forming it themselves.
This is an activity that focuses on beginning letter sounds. Learners can use a clothespin or counter to select the correct sound.
I have also included a rhyme set to the tune, An elephant went out to play. Song pieces are also included so this activity could also be used as a Maths activity.
