Father’s Day takes place in the USA and UK on Sunday June 21st. It is not a religious

holiday like Mothering Sunday. In my classrooms, I have always let my children make a

card and a craft for their Fathers or someone special in their lives (the same for

Mothering Sunday). If a child does not have a parent I use it as an opportunity for

them to thank someone else in their lives (uncle, brother, cousin, family friend, etc.).

Father’s Day card ideas:

Here is a sweet idea for Father’s card from

Soho Language. You could adapt this idea by

having your children deorcate the shirt and

putting fingerprints on the tie!
